Commissioned by The Walt Disney Company, Ariel’s Kingdom was created as the centerpiece for a digital content campaign celebrating Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Inspired by Ariel’s underwater world, the artwork reimagines the beloved kingdom as a handcrafted bas-relief sculpture using natural sand and sustainably collected seashells.

 

The project required translating Disney’s vibrant visual storytelling into a tactile work of art while remaining true to the film’s whimsical aesthetic. Every shell was individually selected for its color, texture, and natural form to create coral reefs, marine life, and architectural details, all embedded within my proprietary self-hardening sand process. The result is a permanent relief sculpture that captures the richness and depth of an underwater kingdom entirely through natural materials.

 

In addition to designing and sculpting the artwork, I documented the creative process from concept to completion, producing behind-the-scenes content that showcased the transformation of raw sand and seashells into a finished work of art. The completed project was featured on Disney’s official YouTube channel, demonstrating how traditional craftsmanship and natural materials can be used to reinterpret one of the company’s most iconic stories for a contemporary digital audience.

 

This collaboration reflects my ability to merge fine art, storytelling, and content creation while delivering commercial artwork that meets the creative standards of one of the world’s leading entertainment companies.
