Elephants drink up to 50 gallons of water a day and their trunks can hold up to 2.5 gallons of water.  They use their tusk to dig for underground water during dry season.  Facing ivory trafficking and climate change, this key stone species can someday disappear and so will the entire ecosystem they help to maintain.
